Losing 20 kg in 6-months is intense.
However, so is travelling between villages in rural Africa on foot.
Jason is going to be out there living in a tent, battling the elements, and fending off lions. So, we want to pay for his malaria treatment.
Getting malary is guaranteed, surviving malaria is optional.
'The 6-month Challenge' is between October 2025 and March 2026. You can help keep Jason alive and support him in his fitness journey, by clicking on the blue support button and donating. Each malaria treatment costs $150.

A full marathon with a full rucksack.
Condition training is essential when walking from village to village.
Jason will be travelling with nothing wits and whatever supplies he can fit in his rucksack. Supplies such as: a tent, mosquito net, spare clothes, rations, satelite phone + solar charger, basic tools, first-aid kit, cooking kit, and medications.
It's kind of like backpacking through Europe without Octoberfest .
This marathon will be our second fundraiser. We plan to raise enough funding to sustain Jason through the first two years of his travels. We've estimated average expenses to be about $500/month, not including airfares and visas.

Jason is taking the scenic route...
"In order to save money on airfairs the plan is to land in Nairobi (Kenya) with my luggage and rucksack. From there I will meet up with a friend, drop off my luggage and continue (with rucksack) to Kampala (Uganda). Then things get a little more dicey as I travel to Rusumo (Tanzania). Then its a matter of hitch-hiking my way to Kobero (Burundi). Then I'll get to work on the long stay visa."
